Not just Christmas

I agree that everyone is so caught up in celebrating Christmas that we tend to forget what really matters. This is largely because Christmas has become so commercial. Everywhere, we see advertisements for trees, decorations, sweets, etc. Christmas has become less about spreading peace and Joy and more about who gives more expensive gifts.

Hi. I wanted to know if Advent is more important than Christmas? This festival is extremely joyous and I am interested in knowing how integral this period is before Christmas is celebrated. Also, is advent only for Christians? Or can non-Christians also celebrate it?

I learnt something new by reading this article. We perceive Christmas as being only about gifts, sweets, and celebrations. However, this article tells us about the true meaning of Christmas. The celebrations are only because the people have repented for their sins before Christmas.
