Hair Care:Painful licecombing scheduled

Name: MNT I am a 28 years old male living in vikroli mumbai. I live alone here since last 4 years and my family is in my native.i keep long hairs upto my waist and normally tie it in a pony or a plait or some time in a bun. Since last 1 month ihave been suffering with lice infection in my hair. As a stay alone i have no one to take care of it . So i discussed this with my neighbours daughter who is very close to me. She initally laughted at me, but then told me she will come next day afternoon. I wondered what she was goingto do. Next day she came in the afternoon and showed me the lice comb she had bought for me. She asked me tobring coconut oil bottle and sit facing my back to her. Sheopened myplait and started searching for nits in myhair by moving her fingers in my hair. After some time she oiled my hair heavily and started combing my hairs with lice come. She found many and handed over to me for killing. This continued for about 1 hour until no more lice were found in lice comb. Then she tied my hair in bun andasked me to clean my clothes and keep the comb. She told she will repeat this after 2 or 3 days so as to get rid of lice. I thanked her. I immediatly felt a huge relief by itching scalp. after another 2 sessions i got much relief. Atlast i thought i was free from lice. But again yesterday night i felt lot of itching and so went to her home to ask for licecombing. Her mother (my neighbouring aunt) opened the door and told me she had gone to some relatives place for 2 days. She also told me that her daughter had discussed my lice issue to her and she can do tomorrow morning for me if i dont mind. I smiled and she asked me to bring my lice comb and come to her house. Today even being sunday i woke early and had bath took the lice comb and went to her place,. She also followed the same routine as her daughter did but oiled my hair more heavily. Just finished 2 hour of lice combing from her. She had asked me not to wash my hair and come in afternoon when she and her 2 maids will make me sit in our common balcony or terrece and do harsh and painful licecoombing. Also asked me to buy 3 lice comb and bottle of castoroil which she will mix with coconut oil and apply in my hair before licecombing, just purchased licecombs and castoroil.

thanks for your post. yesterday and saturday both the days session went good. as I told you on Saturday aunt after my oiling and licecombing tied Sagar Choti and then she tied the gajras round the whole braid. I loved it. yesterday maids oiled and did licecombing. after the session. I gave them 12 gajras. they tied my hairs in two folded plaits and tied 6 gajras in each plait. It was something new. I went before the mirror and saw two bunches of gajras hanging behind my ears. I felt a bit funny initialy but loved it later.
The maids put oil in my hair togeather and also licecombing is done together. as suggested by you I will once bring gajras for everyone and all of us would oil and have same hair style and wear gajras.
I thought of buying veni and ask the maids to put it in my hair but could not forget aunts words.
as u told nath is a nosepin which maharashtrian women wear and is a bit longer. I have seen aunt wearing during festival. its made of gold and pearl beads and is long enough to touch her lips. she look beautiful in that.
I am scared if I again wear veni she would pierce my nose and then tie a nath in my nose.
but I can´ t resist wearing veni, I loved wearing it. pls help me with this issue. would need your suggestion.

Hi MNT How did oiling session go today ? I found it very funny autny put a bindi on you. She must be having a lot of fun with you, Nath is a nosepin worn by women. It is very common in Maharashtra. A little bit long in size. Aunty just might make you wear one next time. Did you try the new choti today. Were the maids,present too or aunty friend. I wonder what the maids would do if they found out. I am sure they would make u try new things too. Ask the maids to pit a veni and see what happens. I am sure they would like!e it just as aunty did. If they make fun it would be pretty harmless. I think you should see what they wear during oiling session and wear the same thing gajra or veni. All of you would have the same thing in the hair. Hi MNT, what was aunt' s reaction that you were scared to ask the maids. I have a new hair style which you should try its called lahariya choti. It will also look good. Its like a plait in the middle of open hair. Ask aunty about it. Yes veni and gajra can be worn together. I always use veni in a bun. Does the maids also oil their hair everyday. Have u ever tried any other brands of coconut oil. I have used shalimar sometimes, ask the maids to use it on you. Does aunty friend d join her during licecombimg? Please write soon. Thanks

thanks for ur post. no aunts friend didn´ t join her during licecombing. yes most of the time maids have their hairs oiled. I have not tried any other brand of coconut oil, but I sometime use sesa or mahabrungraj oil. I will try shalimar this time if u recomend . as u told veni and gajra both can. be worne together. pls tell me on which hair style? I will ask aunt about Lahariya choti tomorrow. i was scared to ask the maids about veni because aunt had made lot of fun on me and I felt embarrassed. after finishing licecombing she oiled my hair once again and was about to tie a plait but I told her I want to tie my hair in bun. on this she asked me if I did not want to wear gajras. I said no and gave her the packet containing veni. she opened the packet and started laughing. I felt a bit nervous. then she put my hair in a bun and tied a veni round it. then she turned me facing her and again started laughing. I blushed. she then took me inside her Home and made me stand in front of The mirror of her dressing table. I was looking myself in The mirror when she stuck a golden bindi on my forehead and said now you look perfect. I blushed and removed The bindi from my forehead. she again started laughing and told me that next time when I will wear veni , she will make me wear a nath. I don´ t know what is a nath but I felt embarrassed. can u tell me what is a nath.? is it a hair accessory.

Hello MNT, I went out of town over the week end, so could not reply. Sagar choti is another name for French braid. It will really look good on you. Aunty made a great choice. Your hair will be heavily oiled and a tight oiled braid that will taper down. I recommend gajra with it. Ask the maids to tie it around the whole braid. Please write in detail your other 2 oiling session. When the maids oil your hair do they pours bowl over your head or put it in their hands and massage it in your hair. When the maids did not listen to you during reverse combing were they angry or just having fun. Please write soon MNT

thanks for your post. yes saw pictures of sagar choti and would love to wear it, maybe tomorrow. maids were not angry but were making fun I guess. they take oil in their hand and then massage It in my hairs. The other 2 sessions went as routine. Saturday session with Aunt and Sunday with maids. Saturday after the ritual aunt tied the beautiful veni in my bun. but I was scared to ask maids to tie veni thinking of aunts reaction the other day. so I bought 12 gajras on Sunday and maids were happy to tie in my plait.
tomorrow I will ask aunt to tie sagar choti with gajras.
I really loved wearing veni thanks for ur suggestion.
also let me know if veni and gajras both can be worn together? if yes which hair style?
do you wear veni?

Hi MNT,I am glad aunty is taking good care of you. Please do write in detail about 3 days oiling and nitpicking with maids. Veni should be worn in a bun. It will look good. Ask the maids to experiment with diff hairstyles and gajra. Did you buy any new color ribbon? What about sour curd? Were the maids happy to see you too after long time. hi. thanks for the reply. ya aunt is taking good care of my hair. for 3 days aunt has asked The maids to clean my hairs. yesterday both the maids made me sit for 3 and half hours. they oiled my hairs very very heavily followed by regoures licecombing. then one of them asked me to sit facing her and other one again oiled my hair and put my hairs in front. then they started reverse licecombing from my nape to front. It was very painful and I asked The maids to stop after 10 mins, but they did not listen and continued it for nearly half an hour. finally they tied my hairs in two folded plaits which was exactly what I wanted. I gave them ribbons( white colour) to tie in my plaits, they giggled and tied The ribbons in my plait. then I left for home wearing ribbons in my plait. I had bought 2 pair of ribbons, white and red. today maids are busy with some work so aunt has asked me to come in The evening 4.30. so I went to the market and bought a veni. it is made of white and red flowers with lot of silver threads in it. I am just wondering how I will look wearing a veni. I also am sacred thinking how aunt will react when I will give her veni. I also asked about different hairstyles. she suggested me sagar choti. hey what is sagar choti??

thanks for your reply. yes I had good time in native. aunt was happy to see me back. yes nits and lice grew in plenty in my hair since nitpicking and licecombing did not happen for many Days. I also carried my licecomb with me but did not got a chance to do licecombing. I was feeling so itchy in my scalp that I did self licecombing for 2 hrs as soon as I reached home. aunt has told me she will ask the maids to clean my hairs for 3 Days friday , sat and Sun. and till then she will do it once everyday for an hour. no aunt and maids do not keep their hair open any time.
I feel like trying veni also, but I prefer Gajras. I know veni will look good on me. ok I will buy veni tomorrow and ask aunt to tie it in my hair. pls tell me which hair style is require to tie veni , bun or plait ?? how many veni should I buy.. ??
today i am wearing two folded plaits with ribbons.

sorry could not write as i was again on a visit to my native. just came yesterday night. got lot of itching so went to aunt in The morning she told me to come at 1.30 afternoon in balcony with licecombs. then I went to market and bought 12 long gajras. at 1.30 aunt came and I was already waiting for her. sitting behind me she searched for nits in my hair for nearly an hour and got many of them. then oiled my hair very heavily and did licecombing for nearly an hour. then she asked me if I want to tie plait or bun. I replied in a low voice that I have bought gajras also. she laughed and oiled my hair again and tied my hair in a single tight plait. then I gave her The packet containing gajras. she opened and asked me why I bought so many. I told her I wanted to try. she laughed and tied all 12 in my plait. she spread The hanging gajras on both my shoulders and turned me to have a look. I blushed looking at her. then she left and I went Home to see my self in mirror. I was so amazed to see so many gajras in my hair. I loved The feeling of wearing them. I also saw veni in The market. a string of flower with shiny silver threads in it. I asked The gajra seller girl about veni and she showed it to me.
at present I am enjoying the bunch in my hair.

Hi MNT let me know the tying plaits with the maids went. Did they tie the ribbons. Do they mix castor oil and coconut oil during oiling session or they prepare it from before. How much castor oil is used. I have never used it before. Unused to wear ribbons when I was in school not anymore. Ask the maids next time to tie a tight bun and put games around. Hello MNT yes you can wear 12 gajras if you want. I used to wear ribbons not any more. Heavy oiling so the plaits can be very tight for tying ribbons. What about aunty daughter, she can help you with ribbons, she would know where to buy. Buy different hair clips and show it to maids to try different styles. Do the maids oil your hair on weekdays too. Ask them about suggestions. Any chance of sour curd. Please write soon. Thanks

Yes. I am already wearing ribbons in my double folded plaits. I went to the maids some time back after very heavily boiling my hair. but they were busy so aunt asked me if she can help me. I told aunt that I wanted to wear ribbons so I need to tie two tight folded plaits. aunt laughed and said ribbons are worne by school girls as it is compulsary in school and she used to tie it to her daughter when she was in school. she asked me if I still want to wear them. I nodded my head and she asked me to sit on stool Places before dressing table. aunt combed my hair and started tieing plaits. I was looking at my self in the dressing table mirror. but I closed my eyes and was waiting for aunt to complete. I felt aunt riding ribbons in the plaits and then aunt told me its done. I opened my eyes and saw myself in the mirror. I was surprised to see my self two red ribbons behind my ears tied in my plaits. aunt laughed at my look. I also blushed. I thanked aunt and went Home. I again went in front of mirror to look at myself. at first I felt like I am looking funny wearing them but i took IT positively think its ok to wear ribbons some time, may be once in a month.
castor oil is used by aunt and maids only during licecombing on Saturday sunday . they mix it with coconut oil in 1/3 parts. It is very sticky but keeps The hair firm and shiny.
Gajra round The bun look lovely. I have seen aunt and maids tieing round their bun. that even I can do it. I usually tie bun after heavy oiling. wearing gajra round it is simple I think.
tomorrow being saturday , I am planning to buy 12 gajras and ask aunt to tie after her session tomorrow. will ask her about veni as well.
have you ever wore 12 gajras.? what is the maximum nos one can wear.?

normally i oil my hair heavily every day. for tieing ribbons I will very very heavily oil my hair. I already bought 2 pairs of ribbons red and blue. I cannot take the help of aunts daughter as she will tease me constantaly. no maids do not oil my hair on weekdays. they do it only on sundays. but I will myself oil my hairs very heavily tomorrow evening and will go to maids and ask them to tie two very tight plaits and
then give them ribbons to tie in them. I will talk about sour curd with aunt on Saturday. why did you stop tieing ribbons.

Hello MNT the maids were happy too I guess, now they will tease you a lot in fun. Just ask for a pair of hair ribbons in any women store . Length is usually the same. Ask the maids to oil hair heavily more than usual and do a double plait for ribbon. For gajra ask them to tie it around the single plait, you might like the style. Ask them to suggest new style to wear gajra. Veni is a hair decoration item, ask aunty about it, she will know. Do write in detail about your experience. Thanks reply soon

yes both aunt and maids were happy to tie gajras in my hair. I am feeling shy to face them now. they will make lot of fun now I feel that too. both of them tied the gajras around my plait and I liked it. I will ask aunt and maids about different hairstyles for wearing gajras. as I told you in my previous post I have reserved Saturday and Sunday only for gajras, so ribbons and other items I will try during weekdays in late evening. I am planning to buy ribbons today and ask maids to tie them in double plaits after very very heavy oiling in late evening today or tomorrow. on Saturday after my session with aunt, when she will be tieing gajras in my hair, I will ask her about veni. I asked you if 12 gajras can be worn?
do you wear ribbons.? why very heavy oiling is necessary to wear ribbons.?
