hi
first of all congrates.for recipes u have to try bawerchi and ndtv, there u can find out some easy and tasty recipes and for theme pls don' t make any campalsaton to wear indian dress let them as they want u can make a theme in ur party just like cake with decoration and if u want to give return gift include that theme in that one.im want to suggest u (as u say there is 60 persons)if u also want to enjoy make it in a restorent(if ur budugt allowes u)there is n ot too much diff(as u r out of counter indian items are of enough price)by this even u can enjoy the party without tension and the mess after party(i like to arrange party in house but work after party .....)so plan a good part for ur guest and also for u.all the best one more tip what ever dish u select from web firstely u have to try that one in littel quantity.
best of luck.

U can keep a traditional party theme where everyone wears only traditional clothes since they r indians it will b easy..or u could keep a theme of your son' s favorite cartoon character for example many kids like pooh bear..so u can keep pooh bear cake and put pictures of pooh bear and if u plan to play any games u can make groups of people and give them pooh bear cartoon character' s names...etc.etc...many such combinations can be tried out..lemme know which cartoon ur kid likes..maybe i can give u some ideas..
