Too amny people tend to look at stress management as a damage-control exercise - where a break or sometime to unwind helps to ease out the effects of stress, before they go about accumulating another round of it. These tactics are important, but there should also be an attempt to adopt an optimistic and relaxed demeanour that does not allow a lot of stress to wreck havoc in the first place.

Subject:  Take a break
I try to take a break. Step out to get a breath of fresh air. Some of my friends light up. Exercise after a stressful day at work helps calm some people.

Whenever I have to work long and stressfull hours, I make it a point to take periodical breaks. Walking out into the office campus, feeling the sunshine and the breeze really works wonders.
