Subject:  Stem cell banking for my baby

Hello Members,

It' s great to see your posts. I am 5 months pregnant and am keen to bank my baby' s stem cells. I asked my gynaec for her opinion. She told me its a great step I would be taking. When I asked her for which stem cells banks are the best, she recommended LifeCell International. I trust my gynaec and so am planning to go ahead with LifeCell. Does anyone have more information about them? I have heard they are India' s first stem cell bank.

Thanks. :-)

Priyal

it is nothing but a simple process which would give a life time protection not only for your baby but also for your siblings. it can protect your baby from several deadly and life threatening diseases. it is the best gift you can give to your little one.during delivery the blood from the umblical cord will be collected and stored. this is a very simple process and will be done by the company representative itself.if you want any more details you can ask me.

hi all,
i am also expecting baby this july and was going to save cord blood, but there are mixed views on its usage. there are questions on its viability, its not sure how long the blood cells are viable, however the companies suggests 18y. also, the blood saved is more useful for siblings and other relatives than for the baby itself....very rarely useful for the baby......but gain all this info comes from a TV report on NBC channel...anyways, in the end its your call
thx,
Ishi
