Drawing & painting is an extra ordinary talent or activity of kids. It's the best way of improving children's imaginary skill & motor skill & mental agility. Subject:  kids scribbling



My daughter loves to scribble in any free space she finds. she scribbles on walls, bedsheets and anything. I do not like this habits of hers so I scold her and told her not to do. now she has stopped scribbling and instead plays with toys. I am happy that she has stopped her bad habit.

you did a wrong thing. I agree with kabita. You should have given her alternatives to scribbling on walls and other places. Kids are small and they do not know the difference between right and wrong. As a parent, you should guide them and show them the way and not scold them. Scolding has a bad effect on their minds. Giving your daughter pages to scribble and encouraging her by appreciating her would have given her confidence and also helped her to learn difference between right and wrong in a proper manner.

you should not have scolded your daughter for such a small issue. Rather you could have explained her your point of view. I do not think that you did the right thing. you have in a way frightened her and in future she will be afraid to do anything on her own. she will have tough time in taking decisions and may be skeptical to pursue her interests. she may be having interests in drawing and scribbling was her own way of expressing. You have stopped her mid way. she may never feel like drawing again and this may prove disastrous in future.there´ s still time to mend the wrong.
