i have started m y 38 week today . yesterday it was doc appt.
she said due to diabetes she has to induce labour snytime between 15-20 sept. i have to chose thew date. my sugar levels r very much in control. in my whole pregnance it was under control only once last week it came out little increased only by 1 point.i am not able to understand why she wants to induce. anyways doctors knows the best.
we r deciding 15 sept .feeling little nervous.

You will be in 40th week by sep 15th. Don' t worry.if every thing goes good you may go into labour on your own before you get induced. Your dr may be the best judge of your situation. I was also diagoised with GD and I used do lot of walking and diet control. I delivered in 39th week. Hope everything goes fine with you.

Normally, when you have GD, the weight/size of the baby will be more compared to normal pregnant women. Since your sugar levels are not under control now, your doctor doesnt want the baby to grow bigger, as it would be difficult for you to deliver vaginally. That is why she wants to induce you.
