Indian hill stations are a traveler' s paradise, gifted with snowy peaks, deep gorges, green valleys, misty woods, frothing rivers, azure lakes and flower-filled meadows. These misty, mystical and serene hill stations of India are a perfect holiday option.

Wide spread environmental degradation is a very serious threat. Our hill and mountain regions are extremely sensitive habitats, ecologically speaking. And they are under very serious threat.

Regulated tourism is one way to sustain the long term ecological security of these places.

I think there should be places which are both comfortable and allow you to enjoy the fruits of nature. Mountain stations are nice though pretty crowded. The ideal thing is to spend time on some of the lesser known hill stations. They are not at all crowded and excellent in terms of flora, fauna and relaxation

I love trekking and every weekend sees me out in the hills and jungles with my trusty rucksack.

Others ask em if i dont get tired and whether i dont neeed rest on weekends. This amuses me becoz i think that this is the best rest i need, It refreshes me physically as well as mentally.

It' s nice to trek in the hills. Especially now with the monsoons its nice and cool when it isn' t raining. True some places get really muddy so ideally we should invest in some cheap disposable foot wear ideally. I went trekking last monsoon and it was amazing to do so in the rains.

I just love getting back to nature. Camping out in the hills is amazing. Stargazing all night is so perfect because the sky is nice and dark and there are no city lights or pollution to hinder your view.

Stayed here May/Jun 2005. Ideal location for us. Room more than adequate as we took our 9 year old grandson. The breakfasts were plentiful and set us up well until lunchtime.
