Name: Sangeeta Pandya I am one month pregnant. Just now my weight is 67 kegs. I do not want to put on lot of weight. What should I do?

congratulations Sangeeta!
You don not need to gain any weight in your first trimester, as you, just like me, are not at all underweight. try to avoid fatty food, eat lots of fibre, low-fat milk and dahi, and fruits with lesser fat. dont go on a diet. just eat as you have been eating, stressing more on fruits and greens, that will automatically reduce your fat intake as in the first trimester eating anything itself is the biggest problem for most of us. whenever you are hungry, instead of going for chocolates, biscuits and fried munchies, go for a sprouts, carrot, cucumber, melon, water meilon and other such stuff. avoid too much of banana and mangoes, they are full of fat. and dont forgert you spinach and other greens. you can try various salads. so dont worry. it's not that difficult at all. Trust me.

what is your height, if u are more than 5.5 then u are not overweight, but on the border. do not diet during pregnancy and take nutritious food, avoid fatty stuff and fried goodies. take care of your heatlh and...congrats!

Congratulations!!!

You should have reduced before getting pregnant. I'll suggest that you should not worry now about this. You can get back to shape after delivering the baby.
