Parenting Twins:dont want milk!
2006-08-19
Name: Amita Hi to all moms of twins!

my 6 mths old suddenly have lost all interest in drinking milk. I started them on semi solids last month and now they want 3 solid meals at specific times....but they just dont want to have milk in between. i have been alternating bottle and breast feed with both...and now i have to force them to get about 120-180ml of milk down everyday. They eat decent quantity of solids.

How can i get them to have more breast feed and/or bottle feed?

Babies do lose interest in milk when they start solids but this is short lived. In the meanwhile you can try giving them milk in other forms - paneer/curd/along with cereal etc or substitute with other calcium rich foods like spinach/bhindi/beans. You must feel lucky that they are taking solids well :)

Do not worry they'll have milk as before, right now they are developing new tastes and dosen't want to take milk. you can mix it with cereal.
