Neha,

i also have PCOS , but now expecting a baby in dec, 7 more weeks to go ....

i know it must be scary , even i was really scared and hardly told anyone i was pregnant till it started showing and people asked me ..!!

the reason why they say that PCOs is related to miscarriage si because inherently , we have hormonal imbalances and that can caue problems .... abt progesterone, that is one of the reasons for early miscarriage , i took 100 mg supplemtnts till 14th week ..consult your gynec abt it so that ur elvels can be montiored .... alos talk to your doctor abt getting your HCG levels monitored .....

get an overall hormone check before u try to concveive again, since irregular levels of some toher hormones can also cause this problem ....

also, i know of some genetic tests that can be done to make sure there are no problems there

i read ur earlier message , u know, men have their own way of handling things and it is different from us .... we had a tough time conceiving and everytime i got my periods, i used to be so depressed and crying , though my hubby used to console me , i do not think he ever understood how much each disappointment meant to me ..he always uesed to say there is the nexttime and not having ababy is not the end of the world ..... so i guess that is their attitude of looking at things ....

anyway , neha , plz do not lose hope, we with PCOS have a mroe difficult tiem getting pregant /maintaining it , but we can do it with god's grace and determination ...

-P

hey ,

i was with an endrocrinologist when i became pg , i had been taking porgesterone right after my ovualtion, throughout my luteal phase ,

after the positive pregnancy test , my doc checked for my HCG and prog levels , my prog levels looked ok not great, so i continued wiht progesterone, she periodiaclly continued checking my prog , at some point,it went lesser and she increased my dosage ..

from my exp, i think it helps if your levels are constantly monitored and also checking for progesterone around 21-24 CD will help to find out if u ovualted or not , i think you should discuss with your doc abt it ..

goodluck and i will pray that you get BFP next month and a healthy baby subsquently :)

hi,
sorry to bother you again.
i wanted to ask you if your doctor confirmed before giving you progesterone if you are not producing it in sufficient quantities?

RE:Coping With a Miscarriage
Infertility is a very hard thing to hit a woman. I can't imagine what it must be like. My sister went through it. She was told that she was infertile by her doctor. Her husband was a doctor too, but besides all the knowledge they could do nothing. Then they tried going for IVF. At first they were resistant, they were double minded. But then my sister went to various fertil... - Lillian [View Message]

Hey Richa, hope you are doing well. I am sorry to hear about it.I know what you have gone through. Toughest period is when one is TTC.The worst part is the miscarriages and 3 of them makes it even more hard to cope with. I agree with your husband and would advice you to take a break also. Try to regain your health.Rushing into things wont solve them. Consult a specialist a... - katherine [View Message]

Hey! I hope you are doing well. Miscarriages are a terrible thing that can happen to a family. It is like your dream of having a child and the next moment it is all gone. There are various reasons why miscarriages happen. But I do not think that miscarriages should affect the relationship. It is the responsibility of the husband to understand that no one is at fault. If th... - Irene Camron [View Message]
