It is true that fast food from McDonald and Burger King can add extra calories. But if you can control your consumption of fast food you can control your weight. Few calories daily are enough to get some extra pounds. But only blaming fast food joints is not right. Visiting fast food joints and eating junk food once in the month is ok but not daily. If you are heading towards MacD daily then it is your fault. Obesity can lead to death. Obese people have lot of disadvantages over normal people. You should add healthy and nutritious food into your diet. Do regular workout. Go for jogging or walking.

My dad is around 55. He has blood pressure and diabetes. Since he started his medication course for diabetes he gained a lot of weight. When we consulted doctor regarding his weight gain, doctor advised him to take on some daily exercise routine and eat healthy. Doctor said that obesity is within your control. In this case weight gain is due to other health problems. Health problems such as hormonal imbalance and thyroid can also lead to obesity. My dad started learning yoga and he also practices meditation now. He is not gaining weight anymore but of course it will take time to lose excessive weight.

Children should eat healthy. Parents should insist their kids on having proper diet than junk food. Children who participate in outdoor activities and games are healthier than kids who lead sedentary lifestyle. Kids nowadays spend more time watching television than playing cricket which is very sad. Children should have green vegetables, fresh fruits and salads in their diet instead of Mac burger. Restrict the time spent in front of television and video games. Children should participate in sports and physical activity. What about an idea of buying a nice bicycle for your kid. Hopefully that will encourage him to indulge him some sort of physical activity.
