Name: sneha oberoi Hi I am 5 months pregnant, can anyone suggest good gyne in Gurgaon and send me the feedback of Dr. Manavita Mahajan in max hospital Gurgaon. I prefer normal delivery.

I had a c-sec with Dr. Mahajan. I was induced since there was less water. But then my cervix was not dilating at all and the baby was in stress. Dr. Mahajan suggested to go for c-sec. Finally during C-sec she found baby had passed meconium inside. so, the operation was done on time and it didnt affect the baby at all. Everything went fine. I recovered very quickly from the C-sec. All in all it was a good experience with her.

Hi Sneha,

Congratulations!!!

Dr. Manvita Mahajan is a very good doc. Dr. Suman Lal in Max is also a very good doc.

I had delivered my baby in Max in feb 09 under Dr. Suman Lal..and am happy and satisfied with the way things progressed.

Normal delivery or C-Sec is not in anybody' s hand...it is very case dependant.

My doc waited very long for normal delivery but despite regular pains and good dialation my baby' s head was not coming down in right position...she even tried to adjust the head position but that lead to drop in heart beat rate that is when she decided for a csec....post which we realized that the cord was tangled not only on the head but a leg too and had the head come down the way it should for normal delivery it would have lead to unwanted sitiation...

so at the end of the day...both you and baby should be fine...and that is what should matter to you.

By the ways...stitches these days DO NOT show (as it used to in olden times making it all ugly)....it just appears as a fold.

Enjoy your second trimester...it is the best time in the entire pregnancy.
