Hi friends,

Yesterday I had my 33rd week checkup. Would like to share as well ask some of the things.

BP was normal
Uterus measurement was normal
Baby Heartbeat- 140
Baby position- Head is down
Weight gain- 14 kgs till date

Some points if you can answer:

1. Yesterday something weird happened when my midwife was checking the position of baby. From past many days my baby was doing very quite movements and was sleeping most of the time but yesterday when my midwife pressed my stomach hardly as well as moved her hand on my belly [her hands were too hard]I felt so uncomfortable as well as my baby haven' t slept till this time. He is moving, kicking and I can feel that he is bit disturbed. Is anybody else too felt this condition or its just a thought of my mother mind that hard hands of my midwife disturbed me and my baby yesterday?

2. Is my weight gain is under limits or its increased much as per 33rd week ?

3. How you find out about baby' s weight as I asked my midwife about baby' s weight her answer was that they don' t measure it before baby birth [I am in Sweden currently]

Your check-up results seems to be good.
1. Pressing hard to feel the baby is what they do and do not worry itwont hurt the baby. THey need to check the position that way only. May be he might be disturbed a bit, but, you dont need to worry...enjoy his kicks :-)
2. Do not worry abt your weight gain now. eat healthy foods and cut fatty foods.
3. You dont need to know the baby' s weight now. If the doctor feels your baby is more / less weight than the current week you are in, he/she will definitely check that to confirm until then, assume it is appropriate for the week. they know the best. i am in Canada and here too, they have not done any U/S after my 18th week.

do not worry too much about this as it happens sometimes. even if u feel get it checked by any good gyny and get an ultrasound done. this will clear ur doubt about the safetyy of the baby and u' ll get the weight of the baby also.
