Name: anuradha bhatia What are some alternatives that we parents have when considering a good university or college for our children. My son wants to do MBA after 5-6 years and with the steady increase in costs how can we tackle it?

The cost of the education he wants will depend on from where he is willing to do his MBA and how he plans on securing the seat. The entrance exams are very difficult and he will have to work very hard to get in.

The cost of education is increasing day by dad and there is no stop to that so the only way to tackle this is to start saving as much as you can so that you don't have to face any difficulties afterwards.

I would suggest that you estimate the cost and invest money in some MF or FD scheme that gives you good returns in the time when you would actually be needing it.

Investing for your child's education is very important. Planning for it is one thing that most parents don't do early. We were talking about it recently at a PTA meeting at our child's school (Orchids). Only then I learnt that Many parents hadn't even thought about it! RDs and FDs are a good option IMO.

There are few important things which are kept in mind while selecting for a MBA college for your child. They are Government Recognization, Ugc approval,Ranking amongst other B Schools, which certificate it has been awarded as a BSchool, Its placement record, Industrial tie up' s, soothing fee structure. I will suggest you GLA Mathura for your child as my son is also studying there. They fulfil all the norms required for a good BSchool. At present fees for MBA at GLA is 1,36,000/- per annum and it can also be paid in two simple installments.

Hi Anuradha,
Its good to know that you realize that the cost of education is rising fast. You need to make quick and smart decisions so that you can secure your child' s future.
For your son' s future career options you can check out education is insurance website and use the Educost Tool. It will help you predict the future cost of education which is a great way in order to save for any future uncertainties.

An MBA degree would cost in crores in some years from now and its only wise to plan in advance for a better future for your child.

Hope it helps
