Miscarriage and Child Loss:Dear Radha

How are you Radha? How are Sid and Stephanie? I was wondering and thinking about you from sometime. And I happened to see your post in this group. My son Raghav is now 10 months old. He is very active child. He is walking now. He climbing the stairs and making my parents to run after him. My parents are watching him. We are enjoying parenthood. Raghav is lot of work but lot of fun. He is a light sleeper and always ready to play. He is a picky eater also. But other than that he is ok. According to his Ped his growth is very good.

I have been busy with my work and Raghav. Life has completely changed after having him. I have lost around 12 kgs of weight and to loose around 3 to 4 kgs to go to prepregnancy weight. So I am happy about that.
Ishani would be around 9 months old..Radha I haven't forgotten you or Ishani. I also saw some nasty posts please ignore them. I know it is very easy to say but very hard to follow. Very few people can understand the pain and loss you have gone through... So why to care about those people. You have helped other members. I know you are a loving and caring person and that's all matters.
Please do write us when you get a chance. How is your health? Have you started working? I am sure your life will be also busy with kids and home.

Love

Hi Newie,

Raghav is walking and climbing! I don't know what to say. He has really grown up. I often wonder what everyones babies are doing and it is great to hear that your son is doing so well. You've my sympathy with his eating habits, it can be frustrating when a little one is choosey about food but all you can do is encourage him to eat well. I am sure he is as wrapped around your finger as you are wrapped around his. Kids just hate to let you think they know how to compromise. Didn't you become a picky eater when you were pregnant? I wonder if he was asserting his personality even then!

You must be very happy to have gotten rid of the weight you carried in your pregnancy. I don't know if you're still breast feeding but if you are I wouldn't worry about those last little kilo's because it's probably 'breast weight' and will go when feeding ends. I know how important a woman's figure is, I know I went on a crash diet after Ishani but you have the heavy burden of being a mother so please please give yourself time. I never realised what hard work a baby is until I didn't bring one home so don't let anyone tell you that life is easy for you!

About those nasty posts. Don't feel like you should say sorry for others. They wouldn't have gotten mad if I was not so stupid so I had it coming. I just wish I never caused you all pain. It wasn't fair to have done that no matter what I was going through. I should have been more aware but all I could think was \";Ishani, Ishani, Ishani\";. It's hard to let go and hard to keep holding on.

I still have not gone back to work. I was hoping to return to studies in the later half of this year but my mind isn't up to it. I'm doing a lot of volenteer work which allows me to feel I am going back some of what I've taken over the past months. Call it karmic retribution if you will but it's making a world of difference. I'm also training to be a counsellor to other women who've had a miscarriage or stillbirth because in all honesty in such a time one needs someone who's gone through the same. But you know, what you girls did for me, the support you gave me, that is irreplacable. I swear you girls are what kept me going in my darkest days. I can't thank you enough. And yes my kids keep me so busy that there are days I fall asleep when tucking them in. I don't mind so much if it happens tucking Sid in but Stephi has a small bed and my feet hang over the end. HA HA. It reminds me of all the times I crawled into their cot to sleep with them when they were a baby. It was so nice to hear from you Newie. It sounds like you have a very fantastic son in Raghav and I wish you and he only the best.

Hugs
Kate

RE:Coping With a Miscarriage
Infertility is a very hard thing to hit a woman. I can't imagine what it must be like. My sister went through it. She was told that she was infertile by her doctor. Her husband was a doctor too, but besides all the knowledge they could do nothing. Then they tried going for IVF. At first they were resistant, they were double minded. But then my sister went to various fertil... - Lillian [View Message]

Hey Richa, hope you are doing well. I am sorry to hear about it.I know what you have gone through. Toughest period is when one is TTC.The worst part is the miscarriages and 3 of them makes it even more hard to cope with. I agree with your husband and would advice you to take a break also. Try to regain your health.Rushing into things wont solve them. Consult a specialist a... - katherine [View Message]

RE:Coping With a Miscarriage
Hey! I hope you are doing well. Miscarriages are a terrible thing that can happen to a family. It is like your dream of having a child and the next moment it is all gone. There are various reasons why miscarriages happen. But I do not think that miscarriages should affect the relationship. It is the responsibility of the husband to understand that no one is at fault. If th... - Irene Camron [View Message]
RE:Pregnancy after Miscarriage
Hi there. I hope you are doing fine. I am so sorry to hear your story. Miscarriage can be very difficult to deal with. I had two miscarriages myself. And my world had just shattered. I was so devastated. But then my doctor told me to go for IVF. I wasn't on board with it, but my husband thought it was the right decision. So, after 2 tries i was finally pregnant. I am curre... - Olivia [View Message]
