Hi Sia,

Looks like the women in this forum are busy. Hence I am taking the liberty to answer you question.

Well, my spouse always had the stuff packed well in advance and I have been seeing this for the 2 delivery she went through. Also being there waiting for the baby, it was me who had to give all the cloths to the nurses when the baby was born.

List for the Kid:
- lots of white nappies made of soft white cloth
- very thin sleeveless cross tied unisex tops
- 2 towels
- 4-5 pieces of white cloth to cover the baby soon after the delivery
- 2 blankets depends on the weather to cover the baby
- 3 pieces of thick cloth to place it in the cradle, just in case you are not happy with the sheets provided by the hospital
- Baby soap or Pears Soap
- Oil for bath
- Baby powder if you use
- Mother tincture or Calendula ( this is a substitute for spirit in Homeopathy) to clean the baby' s navel

For the mother:

- 2 bed sheets
- 2 covers of napkins as you might need it soon after the delivery
- your dress
- flask
- 2 plates
- 2 glasses
- soap, shampoo, hair brush, deodorants, towels

If your delivery is a normal delivery then you can be back home in 3 days, its the same with C-Section to provided you are health and without complication.

Hope this help

Cheers!

Pete

Andominal Pain
I had a normal delivery five days back. I started having abdominal pains two days back. It was unbearable. I consulted with my gynec who just gave me pain medicines. When i asked her the reason, she told me it is due to uterus contracting back to its normal size. I am still having pains. I dont know what to do....... - Shubhangi [View Message]
