Hi all !
I am in 27th week of pregnancy. since three days my breasts have started leaking milky white liquid. I asked my gnec about this. He told not to worry this is normal in some woman.Is anybody having such problem. please suggest.

Hi

I have a somewhat similar issue-doesnt happen all the time though. Can see patches where liquid has dried on my bra in the morning and drops of fluid on my breats. At times its not clear-kind of brownish-the patch.
Not sure if I should be worried about this.
Has anyone experienced nything similar?

Hi there Deepa. Your OB/GYN is right, this is nothing to worry about and totally normal. Before your real breast milk comes in a few days after baby' s birth, your breasts make COLOSTRUM which is just what a newborn needs!!! It gives them many of the antibodies and immunity you have to diseases, making their first months less dangerous.

With my last two pregnancies (this is my 3rd) I starting leaking at 20+ weeks. If its bothersome even when wearing a bra, just put some flannel cloths or disposable pads made for leaking breasts in your bra.

Rest assured your body is just doing what it is supposed to do!!!
