Name: bhavana Hi,FOR ALL WHO LIKE SURPRISES!!!!

INGREDIENTS:
3 medium sized carrots(cut into pieces)
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup sugar
milk based on the consistency you want.
cashews,almonds-cut into piecesand fried in ghee
powdered elaichi

boil the carrots along with milk enough to soak all the pieces,in a cooker.
In the mixer grind the shredded coconut with little milk and make it into a paste.
To that, add the boiled carrots along with the milk and grind it to a paste.
In a vessel add two cups of milk, the carrot paste, and bringit to boil and simmer ir for 5 to 8 minutes.
Finally add the elaichi powder and fried nuts to garnish.

Its a very tasty dessert which can be served at any time of the day, both hot and cold.
Enjoy!!!!!

Yes. ur receipe seems to be good. but instead of boiling the carrot and grinding, u can first chop and grind that in the mixie and u can add that to the boiling milk. also Coconut is not necessary. if u use coconut, the Kheer must be used the day it is prepared. without using the coconut, the carrot kheer will be delicious.

Hey jichi!!
Thanks so much for the reply. Also for a short cut.Just realised i was going the looong way.The reason why i add coconut is because i love it and it adds great taste to the kheer, but will surely try it without coconut too. Thanks once again
