I am pregnant and expecting twins. This article was a real eye-opener for me. Initially my husband and I were planning to name our children rhyming names. However, after reading this article, I will reconsider. I don't want my children to ask me why I could not give them distinct names. I think I will go for two separate names with the same meaning. Can anyone give me any suggestions?

I completely agree with the thought about how giving your children the same initials can cause havoc. It is bad enough if children have an age gap. My two daughters have the same initials. Almost everyday, I have to pull them apart over some stupid fight about who used whose things. I can only imagine what it would have been like if they were twins.

I never understood this propensity that people have for giving their children rhyming names. It is so juvenile. I agree that it seems cute at first but eventually, it gets annoying. No one wants to be called that when they become adults. Even this whole business of dressing them up in the same clothes is ridiculous.
