I saw your posting on closer haircuts for men. I want my husband to get a short haircut as now he keeps it long and it' s not good for him for the summer. I have told him manytimes and finally he says he might now think about it as we are now planning for a vacation for 2 weeks. I want to go with him to the parlour during my hairtrim for his haircut and I don' t want him to back out at the last minute. How did you convince your husband ?

Dear Swathi,
Sorry for the delayed answer. Probably it is too late also. However, I hope you will be able to convince your husband to go for short hair.
In my case (see my replies to Sanju dated 16-6-2008 and 18-7-2008 and my reply to Rajesh dated 20-3-2009 and my other postings) it was basically his wish to have short hair and I only gave him full support. Now we are all so adjusted to his crew cut that anything longer on his head looks odd.
Tell your hb that he can try it once. If he does not like it he can grow it back in a couple of months.
And rest assured that you have my full support. And rest assured that a crew cut looks good on most males.

Thanks for your reply. First of all your reply is not late as due to some reasons, our vacation got cancelled. Initially we wanted to reduce the vacation to 1 week, even that isn´ t possible now. The thing that´ s left now is just his haircut. I read your earlier posting but it´ s mentioned that you wanted him to go for such a cut sometimes jokingly sometimes seriously also.. I think I didn´ t understand it properly. Now for my hubby´ s one, am going to ask him again ( I didn´ t ask him earlier as the trip was cancelled) to get it cut by scissors when we go to parlour next time. Not sure if it would give bald back and sides , he is just worried on what would others say. Interestingly, the background of him growing hair was that in his school times, every summer he would get very short haircut and was not liked by his friends.
