Subject:  Speech Delay
My son is 3.5 years. He is not talking at all! He makes some sounds and blabs but not talking. We have started speech therapy for two months now..only improvement is he try to ask what it is (not understandable , but we can make out thru his actions) for pics etc in books.tv.Some ped. i took him to suggest he is autistic because he is always making line with toys.(whatever toys, bloks, cars or rings, he try to make a train with it..and vaguely says \" train\" ).He is not really following our instructions..not sure if these are symptoms of PDD_NOS? Any one please reply

RE:One year old with no words
Do not worry, some children take more time to attain developmental milestones. Keep interacting with your child to encourage speech development. If at all you are feeling concerned you can consult a pediatrician. ... - Shama [View Message]
