Name: Ishita Srivastava Hi all, My son is four months old. He has developed this habit of keeping his fingers in his mouth ever since he crossed his second month.... Not really sucks the fingers, just keeps them in the mouth & sometimes sucks... Somepeople have told me to get this habit removed now itself else it`ll linger on....Can someone suggest me what to do & how? Whenever I take out his finger, he smiles & takes them back into his mouth......Sometimes starts crying & then I have to let go his fingers.

hi Isihita...
One more thing, Check if your baby's gums are swollen or not. Your babay might be early boomer for teeth. Baby find it very soothing to put fingers in mouth/gums as it relievs pain and give them comfort. You will not see any tooth now but may be in 2-4 weeks. Teething proces atarts very early before 1st tooth comes on surface.

Hope this helps.
