Dear Jayshree,

I am a mother of a two yr old son and my son has always been underweight since he was 4 mths old. Untill he was 1 yr old I was always paranoid as everyone around said he is thin, weak etc etc. But what I have found down the line is that he is thin but definitely not weak....he has high energy levels and eats only if he wants to.

Even today I am either feeding him or thinking of what to feed him. I think every mother has this concern especially if you kid is thin. Peds and DOcs always say dont worry if you child is active and doesnt fall ill often. so slowly now I am not as worried as before.

So whatever food you give to your child , see that it is nutritious....and stop freting. It doesnt help to be a fretful mother

your children are still younge and if they eat alot but just dont put on weight everything should be fine, get them checked out by a doctor to be on the safe side.

I feel u should not worry so much about their weight as long as they are active. You need to worry if they are not active and feeling weak, then you need to take advice of a child specialist. May be he can give some tonic to the kids.
