Intelligent Child:Teaching Babies Numbers
2007-11-28
Name: Editor How does your baby respond when you teach her something new? Do you feel that teaching numbers to a baby helps when she begins her formal education? Or should a child be left alone to discover things at her own pace?

onething many parents are not aware of is , that a child is a natural learner .every minute of his early years are spent on learning. also the child' s brain growth is complete after 5 years. as parents we have taught them to walk , to speak and innumerable number of things . the child was never unhappy learning all these things . so , onething which is very clear ,that it is the attitude of parents and teachers and the pressure , which makes learning a cumbersome process in the later years , and not learning itself .so parents provide the environment with all he right materials at a very young age and sirt back and enjoy your children blossom into a passionate learner .

I don' t think it is necessary to teach children when they are so young. Anyway, they' re going to spend most of their life studying. Let them enjoy themselves while they are still young.

Teaching children begins right from the womb. That is why mothers read to their unborn babies and play music for them. What you do later on is just an extension of your earlier efforts

Are you serious? This is a one year old child you are referring to. Why do you have to teach children something all the time. We are not trying to turn them into Einsteins. Next thing you know, you will be saying that children should be sent to school strainght after birth.

RE:Reading Newspapers
How old is your kid as it depends on the age of the child and one cannot force a five year old to read the newspaper so if your child is above ten years then yes you should ask him or her to read the newspaper daily.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Reading Newspapers
I think you should not force a child to read a newspaper as this is not necessary at all and one must avoid it so please do not force your child and make sure you let enjoy your child in what he is happy in doing.... - Anju [View Message]
