I like these tips. They are simple and practical. Many of them are tips that we would not think of otherwise. At least, it is a step in the right direction.

I enjoyed reading this article. Last year, when our AC was not working, we had to call the mechanic. When he removed the filters, they were so dirty! After that, the AC works very well now with no problems. I will show this article to my husband as well. Please write more articles like this.

I especially liked the part about plugging leaks. I never stopped to think that the same place where my ceiling leaks also allows hot air to enter inside. I went back and plugged it with M-seal and now I can definitely notice a change in the room temperature. Thanks for the tip.

This article is so true. We do not bother to check appliances to see if they are functioning properly and then complain when we get the bill. Proper working can really cut down on the energy costs. Plus your room will also become cooler faster. I think servicing the AC should be compulsory.

Do you have any ideas for colors that would tie in a very grainy oak (trim and cabinets) with the more contemporary light (cool-toned) maple floors? I also need help with a living room ... - Latesh Malik [View Message]
