my som is 2.6 years old and my daughter is 13 months old.they have lot of energy and they just keep me busy.
babysurs and walmart are the good places to buy thing for baby.

ok then take care.if you are in US why dont we call each other.we will have a chat sometimes.iam in Michigan.

Good to know about your Kids and your schdule.
My doc said, she can'T see it exactly but she thinks it to be a baby girl. So, now I dream of her...really feels good when you know what it is..
I am not in US. I am in Europe. To say exactly, I am in Germany but we still could be in touch with each other. If you like...yy don't we first share e-mail address or let me know the way you are comfortable with.
I know there is a big indian community in US. Two of my cousins are there and my husband has been there a number of times for some business trips...
My hubby will be at home for a month after delivery so we hope to manage together..
take care...have a nice time..

Hi there,
I have been taking my readings myself and now onwards also will be taking them myself. Walking really helps. I have seen how readings used to vary after and before walking.
I think, I can go for walk till nov. begining because oct is also golden here...after that I will manage at home (with a home trainer) or in supermkt etc.
How old are your kids now? My baby keeps kicking and this feeling is really difficult to describe. The funniest part is that she stops kicking when my husband wants to feel her..
Now will start buying things...nobody is coming from India so we have to manage it our own. lets see how things move.
Have a nice time and keep sharing your experinces.
take care!

Hi,
got my readings for one week and had a discussion with my doc...The level is under control and i would be able to make it with these changes in food habbits.
Still, he suggested me to be careful after 30th week of pregnancy because then on the sugar levels rise up...
did you also see the difference from 30th week on...
One thing I wanted to ask you ..did you take readings everyday or once or twice in a week??

take care!

Hi there,

Thanks for the readings. I also confirmed it through reading. I will be discussing things with my doc on Monday. Now readings have also started coming bit low. Lets see how things progress. But they do come low only when I go for a walk about 1 hr after eating. I need to confirm with him if its o.k to go for a walk and then to get low readings....
I liked your idea of making Sambhar..
I guess your doc to be an indian because my doctor didn't have any idea about indian food..but he gave me a good about fruits n veges to be eaten..
so I had to find my own ways but I think they will work.
Thanks a lot!!
Have a nice day!

Hi there!! Thanks !!I am doing better (I mean with my thoughts). Today I have started taking readings with the instrument provided by my doc, but he didn't tell me about the range of values ...may be he wants to see what I am getting and only then after one week he will let me know where do I stand...
Mornings I found it to be 86 but even after 2 hrs of having lunch it was 126...From what I have read, I found it be little high..Do you have any idea about the range?? I think I need to take some more changes in my diet...
Have a nice day!!

Thanks for your support. I also hope for good. Now, I need to change my whole eating plan. Wanted to ask you about the diet plan you have written. Was it really enough for a day?? Was it enough to satisfy your hunger?I also don't come in the category of " too-much" eaters but still it seems little less (or I should try it first and then talk).
One more thing, Did you have a normal delivery??
Thanks once agin,
Take care.

GD also depents on your family history.it is not only you eat.if your parents dont have diabetes but your grandparents are living with it they you have chance for it.During pregnancy your harmones are to be balmed too.we wont have much capacity to digest sugars and carbs.
Iam telling you i had GD with my second one.my diet was as follows.my doc told me to follow this diet before gettin GD itself to keep mine and babys weight in contol.and i was a person of small frame i had a healthy weight gain and my baby was a healthy 6.9 pounder.
Slice of toast with cheese
1 8 ounce glass of milk.
i had egg,you can have some protien rich food like tofu or any variety of beans or so.
afternoon.
1 cup of cooked rice with any kind of vegiis ,lentils as your wish.
for dinner have chappatis with sabji,or channa, rajme etc.
for snacks have fruits, and light snacks.
instead of having 3 full meals break it into 6 or 7 small meals.drink lots of water sip by sip.
it is not necessary that you will be positive this time.there is 80 percent chances to be negative.even if it positive dont worry, relax and enjoy your pregnany.your doctor will give you more tips to handle this.always follow her.you will have a wonderful baby.take care.

Hi Sweet mom,

Today I got my results and they came out to be positive with high values. Now, I will be measuring the values at home for a week and if the values are still high (even after a change in diet) then I will be directed for Insulin intake. I hope things to go better....
Take care

Hi,
Thanks once again. Neither of my parents or grandparents had this problem. You are right about hormones. I have started taking precautions while eating. Hope it works. Tommorrow I will be going for test and on Monday I will be discussing it with my doctor. Still you are right about precautions, even if I get a neg.
Its great getting suggestions from you.
Thanks!
Take care...

Hai! everything will turn out fine.relax and enjoy your pregnancy.even if you dont have GD it will be good if you avoid sweets and high sugar foods like donuts, soda pops, aritficial juice, etc.if you take non veg chicken, fish and eggs are very good.you can have rajma, channa all those protien rich foods.limit your rice intake and have chappatis, cheese singles, milk, fresh fruits, veggis and lots of water.i dint do any excercise other than walking and kegal excercise.so all the best for a plesant pregnancy and delivery.take care.
