Developmental Concerns:Stimulate Your Child's Brain

Do you think that parents play a big role in their child's development? What games do you play with your child to stimulate him?

Is there documented proof regarding these claims? Does this mean that children who do not experience parental interaction are unintelligent? Children will develop no matter what interaction they have with their parents. It is a little judgmental to say that if a parent does not spend time with the child, then the child will not develop.

Feral Child :a human child who has lived isolated from human contact from a very young age, and has no (or little) experience of human care, loving or social behavior, and, crucially, of human language. (wikipedia).
besides this obvious rebuttal to your (forgive me for my frankness) ignorant statement I have 2 other things to say:
1) There are over 100 documents backing up this claim.
2) If you don´ t have time or want to spend time with your child you should not have one.

I think you are misunderstanding things. It is a proven fact that parents are responsible for part of their child´ s development. Children learn faster if they are in a secure environment. A child will continue to learn even if the parents are not around but this will happen much slower than if the parents were present.

This article is very interesting. I have read a lot of books which place an emphasis on interacting with your child when she is young. This would be an argument in favour of those who advocate that women should stay home from work and look after their children.

kids fitness through play and games
since i have been training young kids for motor skills and fun fitness for a while i see that kids develop most of their sports movements then and as early as 4 years. parents need to be aware that forcing kids into sports at a very early age will not get them far, as they end up losing interest quickly. ... - Sunny Singh [View Message]
