Fasting is the most important ritual. Entire month of Ramadan is spent in fasting and prayers. Fasting and praying cleanses the body and the mind. This period of fasting culminates in celebrations on Id.

For Muslim community ID is a big festival. This is the first time I have kept fast. Though it was tough but the feeling was very good. Breaking the fast with friends and relatives is immensely satisfying.

Id is a great festival. I still remember my school days when I had many Muslim friends. We used to enjoy a lot on Id. We used to eat kababs, Biryani and sevaiyyan. The taste and happiness still lingers in my memory
