I had a planned c-section as I had low lying placenta and the baby was breech. I had no sensation at the incision site for about a week. I was asked to walk extensively and that really helped me to cope up early after the procedure. I occassionaly get backache and had severe heel pain after c-section for about 3 months. Not sure if it is related to this procedure. I had severe itchiness at the incision site for about 15 days.

I delivered a baby and it was a caesarean. My doctor advised me to wait at least a year to plan second pregnancy. Our body gets exhausted post delivery. We need time to cope op with postpartum blues. Body needs time to heal and get back to normal. When you have caesarean then you should wait for some more time, more than a year. My friend had C-section delivery while her first pregnancy. She got pregnant within six months and again she need to undergo caesarean while her second delivery. Her physician had advised her before about not taking the risk. Now she complains pain in her lower abdomen while bending and doing daily chores. There should be distance between two pregnancies anyways.

Lot of times it depends on the position of the baby if you will have to undergo caesarean or not. My sister delivered twins last month. Doctors thought that she might need C-section delivery but thankfully she gave birth to her twins normally. She was revealed that she gave normal birth. She was worried to face the after effects of the caesarean birth. She gave birth to two sweet baby girls. But this might not be the case always. Doctors believe that if a woman has twins then it can be quite risky to deliver baby through vagina. Instead C-section delivery is suggested. Doctors may perform emergency caesarean if giving birth normally is not possible.

Subject:  trying to cope up with caesarean
I had caesarean in the year 2007 and till I have trouble while bending or lifting heavy stuffs. I face problem while love making. Sexual intercourse is sometimes very painful. My gynecologist told me that recovery after caesarean is depends upon the health of the individual. One should have positive attitude and will power to cope up with the caesarean surgery. One should get support from family member, especially from partner to overcome the pain and stress after caesarean. She said that the problem I am facing is normal and it will go away with time. It will take several years more. She is going to guide me more about my problem. Please write leave a comments over here if someone is facing same problem.

RE:C-Section
C-sections are planned when the mother wishes to escape the labor pain or in emergencies like if the cord is entangled around the baby's neck and the baby's life is at risk. But i think natural delivery is always a better option.... - Neeta [View Message]
