Hi,

Buy a Malayala Manorama paper from Bangalore. They have lots of advertisement on Maid agencies in Kerala and Bangalore. Call and speak to them and pick the ones the suits your budget and choice.

I have done the same.

Running Rate!

Hi Susan,

That is the running rate as of today. You will be lucky to get someone for Rs. 3500. I am sure you will not get any below that through an agency. The only cheap option is to hire a maid from your home town. Then again nobody is interested to come for less than 3000. They claim the get the same in their own place and why should they come. You will find umpty number of doctors engineers, MBAs, but its tough to fine and get a maid :(

Its expensive, even I had no choice but to hire one for 6 months.

Have anyone tried advertising directly through news paper than taking through the agency.. as agency is really expensive the running rate i see from kerala is 4.5 to maids and 4 k for 6 months to agency....very expensive yar...
