Subject:  It exists everywhere
I think office politics exist everywhere. Even if we try to stay away from it, we get involved without realising.

Subject:  stay away from office politics
I have well known to the office politics and pranks. A funny office prank can turn to be a bad situation and can spoil relations with your colleagues. Indulge in gossips and pranks but be sure that you keep it in limit. A wise person should totally avoid office politics as it leads you nowhere. I myself stay away from negative people in my office. Some people always try to discourage you. They play politics. If you know your job well and you know your responsibilities then it is better not to care about what others think. Do your part of work, indulge in healthy conversations and do not take part in gossiping. I am going to tell about this article to few of my friends.

Subject:  take leave if you are not feeling well
I am an employee in call centre. I am working in my company for six months now. I agree that one should not lie about being ill. But one also should not attend office if he is feeling very sick. One of my co-workers came to office when she had high temperature. After working for few hours she stared feeling week and she fainted. Me and few others gave her the first aid and then took her to the doctor. Fortunately she was staying near by. The episode disturbed whole office and wasted many hours. It would have been better if she had stayed back home. When you come to office if you are not feeling well you end up wasting time. There are chances that you may spread your illness to others if it is contagious. So seek a sick leave if required.

Subject:  gossiping is bad
I am a fresher and in search of a job. I often got to hear stories about office politics and gossips from my friends and college mates. Even as a student I had habit of gossiping. I am going to share one experience which proved eye opener for my friend. At that time we were in first year of college. We used to bunk lectures and go to the canteen. We used to spend long hours chatting, gossiping and eating. This friend was very good at mimicry and he used to do mimicry of our professors really well. One fine day when we all were seating in a relaxed mood someone from our group asked him to do mimicry of our mathematics professor. He immediately stared mimicking unaware of the fact that the professor was standing behind him. That professor was very strict and he suspended my dear friend for a week. So according to me gossiping is not healthy at any place.
