I would strongly recommend Dr. Lata. She delivered both my children and my pregnancies were a wonderful experience. She is calm, very collected and spends as much time as needed with patients. She relies a lot on the knowledge she has in her subject and always does her BEST. I trust her judgement completely and would recommend her to anyone.
I am reading that some people have had unfortunate experiences. However - I rate the experiences I' ve had with Dr. Lata as beyond compare. There are many other friends of mine who would be more than happy to endorse this.

Friends,

I was consulting Dr Latha when I was expecting my first kid and my experience with her is not all that good. Baby' s position was not apt for normal delivery but no care was taken scan and check the position. I had a traumatic life to lead for the next 2 yrs after baby' s birth due to the surgical error in putting stitches after normal delivery as I had third degree tear during labour. Also, these days I am told she visits many hospitals and is hardly accessible. I suggest Dr. Leela in place of her as she is a thorough professional and attends her patients with lot more patience. I' m in family way for the second kid now and unfortunately I cant go for normal delivery now due to complications of previous pregnancy as my vagina and anus will become one if I were to have normal delivery this time. So think twice on the doctors' expertise before you choose one.

Dear Andy and Rashmi,
I cannot express how angry and sad I am when I learnt about what happened to your babies.
I am fully with you. Now when we look back we feel we were plain lucky. Like wise, Dr. Latha was not there during my delivery. I was told that she would be doing my delivery since I was consulting her.
During my final stages of labor, the junior Doctor held my legs together and forced my son from coming out because she wanted Dr. Prabha to come in. Could be that the junior was not confident doing the delivery herself or she knew that Dr. Prabha was in OPD and available so waited for her. My son had to wait in the birth canal for good 3-4 mins before they allowed me push him out. I was screaming all the while that I was ready to push him out. Since Darshan is my second baby and my first being born normally vaginally, I knew exactly when I was ready to push and deliver.
I am ready to come and give this statement in any court of law if it makes your case strong.
These women who think they are above law should be convicted for playing with lives of innocent little babies. The hospital too should be taken away of their licence.
I am completely with you. Please let me know how I can help you to bring some justice to you.

May God give you the courage and strength to go through this pain.

Regards,
Meeta.

Hello Andy,

I am sorry to hear about your experience with the doctor. On the contrary I had a pleasant experience with her as well as at Wockhardt all throughout my pregnancy and delivery.

I delivered my second baby under her supervision. Its is true she does not recommend scan or prescribe too many medicines. In fact, my entire pregnancy and post delivery experience went smoothly because there were no antibiotics or painkillers administered. She even taught me some yoga asanas and excercises to help my baby´ s head fix and strenghten the muscles around the cervix for easy dilation.
Her assistant Dr. Prabha is also very good. My labour process from the stage one to delivery was only four hours. I would also recommmend homeopathy to help easy labour and delivery. I had consulted Dr. Arun Kumar Shetty in Jayanagar 9th Block for this.

My second baby´ s delivery was a wonderful experience compared to my first delivery. It was almost like a vacation at a resort. The nusring staff was so good that they took the baby everytime he cried during the night so that I would get a good night´ s sleep.
In fact I would recommend Dr. Latha and Dr. Prabha.
My colleage at work also had a similar experience at Wockhardt with Dr, Latha, though she is not a very young mother, Dr. Latha ensured that she had a smooth and comfortable labour and delivery.

RE:C-Section
C-sections are planned when the mother wishes to escape the labor pain or in emergencies like if the cord is entangled around the baby's neck and the baby's life is at risk. But i think natural delivery is always a better option.... - Neeta [View Message]
