Glass & Microwave compliant ceramic to be used as utensil. DO NOT USE PLASTIC. Even the ones touted by suppliers as safe, may release dangerous carcinogens when subjected under microwave. Also, do not keep open the microwave door unnecessarily and any damage on the body of the oven etc. to be attended immediately by a service engineer. Microwaves can be dangerous at higher strengths.

The benefits of microwave ovens are- faster cooking and less energy used than conventional ovens or stoves. But you also have to be safe while using microwave ovens. Microwave oven cannot harm your food unless you leave it in too long and you burn it. They have also been know to start fires (popcorn is a classic example) if you leave the food in too long. There's nothing wrong with microwave cooking. You don't destroy any more than you do with conventional cooking. In most cases, you destroy less. Vegetables aren't overcooked if you do them right and fish is not overdone. Understand how to use it and make best out of your microwave.

Using Microwave oven to cook your food is economically better option. It saves s your gas and it does not consume lot of energy. I purchase my microwave oven some two years back and I can say that it made my life simpler. It takes less time to preheat the food and it is user friendly. As little or no water or fat are used in the microwave and food cooks very quickly, microwave food is able to retain more vitamins, and fat content can be reduced or eliminated. I usually make cakes, puddings, brownies and pizzas using my microwave oven. My daughter has started enjoying cooking since we bought microwave oven. She enjoys making french fries.

Recently my uncle gifted us the LG microwave oven. Microwave oven is easy to use and it is very convenient. It takes hardly a minute to boil water. The different functions of my microwave allow me to cook food without much effort. Now I can make buttery popcorn in a few minutes while enjoying movie on a DVD with my family. Using a microwave to cook your food has its nutritional benefits. More vitamins and minerals are retained with microwave cooking than with many other methods of cooking. Microwaves are ideal for defrosting frozen food items such as meats, poultry and vegetables. It takes just a few minutes, and is one of the safest methods of defrosting. I love to cook since we got a Microwave.
