At what age was your child free from the problem of bed wetting? What advice would you give to parents of these older children?

My son used to have the problem of bed wetting at an older age also. I follow the method of positive reinforcement. We used to praise our child every time he did not bed-wet in the night. This encouraged him. I think that parent should not worry, because the children eventually grow out of it.

Yes, even I have seen that this problem is present more in boys. This is more of a problem in my case because we have plans to put him in a boarding school. So, we are planning to speak to the teacher or doctor in the school and let them know about the problem. If the child is in a boarding school, parents must inform the nurse.

My son is not small anymore but still faces the problem of bed wetting. Your article was very helpful and helped me to understand the causes and why it is happening. I will follow your advice and I hope this problem does not persist anymore. I am worried for my child always. Good article.

RE:Consticipation for 4 years old
This is an old thread but one thing no-one said was that exercise is important for gut motility. All the green veg and pear juice will be limited in their effectiveness if the kid isn't very physically active (just walking more and driving less helps!)
Also, my usual comment - use a child-size glycerin suppository if he's gone for two or more days without doing a do.... - Suzanne [View Message]
