Hi,
I have a 15 month old.
I heard Ragi is really good for health.Have never tried it before.
I live at US.(East Coast). The ragi flour that we get from Indian stores,is it the same one to give for my toddler or is there is special ragi flour for kids.
Please educate me. & how do you cook the ragi.

I use the 'Silver spoon' brand raagi for my son (13 months old). That is good. You ahve to follow the cooking directions given there. It is very simple to cook it. But I am not sure whether it is available in US.

hi srimathy,
actually ur kid is now grown up. u shd hv started to gv this raggi flour since he started 4-5 months. anyways u can prepare this flour at home. u buy raggi from any provision stores. first u clean it up. Then wash it with water. Drain all the water from it and dry it nicely. There shd not be a drop of water in it. Then fry in nicely with ghee and grind it. If u want u can add rice, moong dal and wheat. U hv to do same procedure with rice, moong dal and wheat. U hv to prepare flour separately and then add it together. U can add almond also in it. This mixture is very good for child’s health.
