Hello,

am a mom of twins who will turn 4 months in the next 5 days. They were born at 34 weeks at 5lbs, 4lb 3ozs. They fortunately did not have any problems due to preterm delivery except jaundice which was usual. The 3 month appt. went well where the dr. said they are not like premies anymore.
We did not put them on tummy too much due to the fear of vomitting as one baby had acid reflux. Now 1 baby has good neck control than the other and none has rolled either from back to tummy or tummy to back yet. Is there anything we can do like a exercise to help them rollover by the time they complete 4 months?

Hi- I am new to this forum. looking through the twins section made me desperate to join this forum obviously because i have twins! My twin boys are now 7 months old.

I was wonddering do twins reach their development milestones slower than single babies? my twins started rolling over from back to stomach a month back i.e. 6 months. till now they havejn' t started sitting on their own. if u put them in a sitting position they will be able to sit without support for a few minutes. im worried whether by the time they are one year old they will be able to stand. any idea whether twins develop slower than other babies?

Hi

dont worry at all....each baby will grow at his/her own pace. let them take their time...its best for them as well as you.

My twins are 8mths old....one of them rolled to tummy at 3 mths whereas the other did almost at 5 mths. 1st one crawled at 5.5 mths and the 2nd one just started getting onto knees now. by now the 1st one already standing up and walking around with support.
Both babies are perfectly normal and are taking their own time to try new things..
as my paed also told me....dont be over ambitious abt your kids....you dont have to induce them to do anything...they will do it when its right time for them.
You can help their bones and muscles get stronger by daily oil massage though.
Enjoy your twins! and all the best.
