2013-01-08
Name: Meenakshi I am pregnant and i want to color my hair. Someone told me that it is not good and would cause trouble to me during my pregnancy. Is it true or a mere myth?I would really like to know. If it is harmful i would obviously not do it but in case it isnt i would love to.

It is a myth dear. How can coloring your hair harm your baby which is inside you. You are not eating color! Just applying it on your hair.Do it without any fear but be sure that you use a good brand so that atleast your hair is not spoilt:)

Chemicals from hair dye and color and relaxers are absorbed through the skin only in small amounts that aren' t harmful .But strong odors from hair treatment products make some pregnant women feel nauseous. So better sit under a fan or a well ventilated place and do it. It wont cause you any harm.
