Pomegranate is a powerful antioxidant, it slows the absorption and oxidation of LDL bad cholesterol. Therefore pomegranates decrease the risk of these diseases by flushing fat out of the digestive tract. Pomegranates boost the immune system by decreasing bacteria and viral infections within the body. pomegranate juice slows the deterioration of human cartilage, which causes osteoarthritis. It also keeps blood platelets from clumping together, which forms deadly blood clots.
