It is very difficult for new mothers to face the challenges of another pregnancy. They have to take care of the newborn and also cope with pregnancy symptoms. Moreover their bodies may not have recovered completely so a perfect gap is to be maintained between pregnancies.

Getting pregnant in quick succession can cause infections. The stitches are new and may tear leading to delayed healing process. Emotionally also, it is very taxing for the new mother. She may not emotionally connect with this second pregnancy.

Hi Sylvia!I completely agree with you as the body of new mother needs time to heal before being ready for pregnancy. Getting pregnant in quick succession will be traumatic for the mother because of the wear and tear of vaginal tissues during childbirth.
