please help me. my 2 year old daughter does not like chewing her food from the beginning. i was so helpless therefore i had to give her pureed food and she used to have it so nicely. i was so happy but as she is getting old pureed food has become her habit. she usually use her tongue to eat rather then chew the food with teeth. i encouraged her so much by showing her, playing with her, showing how other kids are having food but still she is doing the same thing.

i am so fed up by her action. she either keep food in her mouth or spits it out. i told this to the doctor but the doctor said let her feed herself. by doing that i saw she is remaining hungry whole day. she does not understand the feeling of hunger so either she is sleepy or getting cranky. its frustrating too. its been 3 months i have started this process of giving her total solid food like we have. please help me how long do i have to keep patience and see this tantrum of her. some says she might have sensory disorder. please help Ronika replied. there is no meaning to get frustrated in this situation, when she grows gradually she will be understand how to chew food and then she started doing same thing, so doctor is right, dont worry about this.
