Name: Meenakshi

My sister is diagnosed with malaria during pregnancy. Will it affect the unborn baby. She is hospital and doctor has told her that after doing 6 day treatment her malaria will get cured. I am really concerned about the baby. Is it very risky to get affected with malaria during pregnancy?

Some medications do have a little effect on the unborn baby but the doctor knows what he is doing and the health of both the mother and child is his priority. Trust his judgement and don't worry about them they will be fine.
