I live in the middle east and its preety cold here. I am not getting the dosa mix fermented in 14-15 hrs. Is there any special way to get it done.

Pls don' t use yeast to ferment idli or dosa batter in winter. It changes the taste and also keeps fermenting it even when kept in fridge. Also in my experience, it was hard to spread the mixture on tawa!!
The oven trick works well!!

i stay in US. Here also it's very cold.
Just preheat the oven at 250 F and put it in the oven for overnight. When it's completely fermented , just put it in the fridge.

Even i stay in Gulf where right now is extreme winter. Try keeping the batter near the area which is warmer. like e.g. above the microwave oven, or near the fridge. But for dosa you dont need to get that fermented, unless you want to make idlis.
