Dear Forum,
I am an NRI in London, England. My wife and I have recently had a baby girl and she has been the best thing that has ever happened to us!
The reason why I am writing on this forum is that my wife and I have a business idea that we think has some potential, but I want to test the water, so to speak, on this forum, before we do anything more.
Our daughter is now 15 months old and we are sometimes feeding her ready made organic foods which she absolutely adores. My questions to this forum are these:
1. Why do Indian parents not demand similar kinds of foods from say, their supermarkets?
2. Is it they cannot find such foods? Is it they do not trust food companies to produce wholesome food for their babies?
3. Is it because they prefer making the food themselves?
4. If it is a case that you want them to eat main meals that you cook them, then would you consider giving them say organic rice cakes, organic baked corn crisps, organic cereal bars?
5. If not, why not?
I really would like to get a good understanding of this.
By the way, for the parents that are having problems feeding their kids, we find giving our little one an organic baked corn snack (a bit like a corn crisp, only not fried) makes her relax and allows us to feed her. You guys might want to try it with perhaps a plain biscuit.
I very much look forward to reading your thoughts.
Vijay.
