Bowel and Bladder Movements:Need suggestion on Diapers in India

Hi,
Many parents visiting India would have come across this issue when they plan to visit India. My main concern is about the diapers. I have a 4 month old who uses Huggies diapers. I am planning to visit India for 3 months stay and confused about taking diapers from here or buying over there. I have heard lot of stories about the bad quality, dipaer rash, poor absorbency of diapers etc for the diapers available in India. Can please some one suggest something who have gone through this problem. Also the Huggies brand we get here and the ones we get in India, are they of the same company? If so, where is it available ( I will be visiting Bangalore, does any store in bangalore carry them?) I also heard that Huggies made in Malaysia and Soudi (avaialble in India) are of better quality than the ones manufactured in India. Is it true?? Any one with any suggestions? thanks a lot

dont think much. Babies in India also wear diapers and do not suffer from rashes etc. Just ensure good quality and branded co' s diapers are bought, u will have no problem.

Hi,

You can buy good quality diapers in India from a showroom in Chennai called Dial a Diaper. Their website is dialadiaper

They do have a branch in Bangalore.

All the best for your trip to India

I am not sure if i can buy good diapers there..is there anyway we can order them from somewhere in India and have it mailed or shipped to my hometown?

My daughter is 28-30 pounds so a Large would probebly fit right?

Subject:  Diapers and Baby Food in India

Hi

Can someone help? I am travelling to India for the first time with my 18month old daughter. What are good baby food products. I feed my daughter Gerber 2nd foods. It is to my understanding that India does not have Gerber foods. Are there any brands you would recommend? Also does India sell Pampers diapers? I will be in Nadiad, Gujarat and then am travelling to Goa, Varanasi and New Dehli. If someone can tell me where I can find comprable baby food and pampers diapers, that would be great.

Thanks much!

My son gets nappy rash with the huggies diapers that are available in India. My cousin gave me a couple of Huggies Supreme diapers to try out. He seems to tolerate it well. The problem now is that these diapers are not available in any of the stores around here. Could you tell me an online site which has these diapers in their store and who ship them to India? Would really appreciate your reply...

Dear Rashmi Nagesh,
Beleive me there are a lot of good diaper brands available in Bangalore. One such brand is 'DRYFIRST'. Its an excellent products. Infact i have stayed in u.s and was using huggies for my baby but after coming to india one of my friend suggested to use dryfirst for my baby. You can really look to use it for your baby. It absorbs more than huggies and the product is so soft to feel. You can get it in MOTHER CHOICE on m.g road{shrungar complex}

India is not that bad. you get almost everything there. The huggies diapers are the same that u get in US. The quality is good. U can visit stores like Toyworld in coomercial street, babyshop in ulsoor, just born on millers road. diapers are the least thing that would worry me while going to india.
have fun in your trip and take care.

hamsa

At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]

Hi Karthik this is a serious issue and you should look into this matter very seriously as its concern with your own child and you cannot let things go, have a good consulting done by a good doctor.... - Amaira [View Message]
