Hello Trups,

Congratulations on your twin pregnancy. Don't be scared, everything will be alright. I am also mommy of twins and a 5 yr old boy. I was also scared like you in the beginning. We came to know about the twins at 20th week, it was just a shock. But, everything went well, I also had c-section, because my babies were breech (heads up). They were very healthy, now 18 months old.
Take care, take lot of rest, drink lot of water.

If you need any advice, you can reach me at shatabdi_ch at yahoo dot com.

Best wishes,
Shatabdi

mommy of 1 and Twins

Subject:  I am mother of Twins!!!
Dear Trups,

I read the whole series of your mail with Archie. He is right. I live in South America and delieverd my Twins (a boy and a girl) on 30th Jan-04. I was in India last May where I came to knew about my pregnancy (I never knew at that time that I am carrying Twins). The day of travel from India (I travelled for 2 days) I went for my first ultrasound and Dr told me that I am carrying Twins. I was thrilled as well as scared too, I was suppose to leave at night. I did travelled but only on the recommendation of my Gyn. Don't worry going to India is not so important as enjoying your pregnancy is. I had a C-sec and my babies were premature (one month before). They are doing great!!! Try to rest and relax as much as you can cause once they are born there is no looking back. You can write me and ask for anything you want to know. I feel happy to be a mother of Twins.........Enjoy yourself...Take care.....Neetu

Subject:  with your Dr.
Dear Trupti,
Although you don't want to, I have to say I am fully with your Dr.
Dr. knows each case. When pregnant with twins require little more care.
Also having found low lying placenta makes your case sensitive.
Hope this will help getting over your emotional trouble and help avoiding trip to India.
Archie

Subject:  Don't worry
Dear Trups,
Your Dr. may mentioned about Episiotomy. This is type of vaginal birth in which to make easy delivery they cut some protion around your vagina and stiched after delivery. Not a painful or scary.

If your cervix does not co-operate or dilate as it should then you will asked to go for C-section and that's also will have stitched, as baby will be delivered by making small incision to your uterus, this is not scary again.

With available medical help nothing is scary as was in 18th or 19th century, you are in 21st century and know yourself what to expect when you expect.

Good luck
Archie

Subject:  follow your Dr and not the people
Dear Trups,

Forget what all says. Every girl is different and every pregnancy in same girl is different too.

I have twin sister-in-law. My mother-in-law was not of strong built!

As said in my earlier message, Dr knows pregnancy case by case and they are professionals making best advise.
With low lying placenta no Dr. will advise to travel, even if the patient has single baby!

Hope I have clarified your doubt. More over you have just entered in second trimester, although relatively better trimester you definitely require some good relief and not much of worries by changing environment and hygine conditions (US as oppose to India). I am not trying to offend, I mean if you were in India at this stage would not be good to travel to western side as your Dr and myself don't recommend you to travel to India from west at this stage.

Once your placenta moves up (this should happen as pregnancy progresses) you won't have anything to worry. Stay close with Dr. so he/she can monitor you close.

Good luck
Archie

Hello dear according to me you should not think so much and just relax and just visit few of the doctors in your area and then decide which is the best for you, because everyone will have their own personal reviews which might differ person to person.... - Sujata [View Message]
