Customs and Traditions:remarriage and tonsure
2010-09-01
Name: nandini kumar I am 23yrs. old and married last year only. yesterday when I visited an astrologer with my mum, he told there is some dosha in me and for the removal of which I must undergo tonsure and remarriage at any religious place alongwith my husband. He even told that I must not cover my head after tonsure. when my mum told all this to my husband, he told he is ready for the rituals. so they have planned to do this at tirupati. Though remarriage is ok but I am tensed of going bald.

Nothing wrong in remarrying the same person, its just a normal procedure. i believe your hairs are not that important than your hubby' s life.

Also dont get tensed, Just pray. God is there.

hi,

dont be scared of astrologer' s opinion. in astrology, when there exists certain combination of planets in the horoscope, they say there exists some mangalya dosha. then comes how to avoid it. these remedies are self described or hearsay. the basis of such remedies is that if once it happens, that is, remarriage or widowship, there could not be a chance of happening so. under this belief, they suggest so many remedies. when they feel that there is chance of remarriage, they say you marry once again, it will be a second marriage. if they feel, there is a chance of her becoming widow, do it youself by some way, harmless. again it will not happen. but we see, what i lose if i do it or if i dont do it. considering so, if i do it i lose nothing. so they were being followed. but the astrologers themselves are not certain, they say it may happen. in my life, so many things happened not as opined by astrologers. i dont blame astrology but only astrologers. the great astrologer bhaskaracharya himself, could not prevent his daughter leelavati' s becoming widow. he fixed a muhurtham in which if his daughter marries, she could not be a widow. but leelavati herself being a expert in astrology, was watching the water flow in the clock. a pearl from her necklace fell down, the muhurtham was late, she became a widow. so, belive in god nothing else. thanks,
