Name: Editor How do you change the diaper of your baby or toddler? Do you use disposable diapers or cloth diapers? What do you do to prevent your baby from getting diaper rash?

Subject:  cloth diapers v/s disposable diapers
There were several reasons for which I decided to use cloth diaper instead of disposable one. First of all disposable diapers has some chemicals on it which can irritate your baby’s skin. Disposable diapers are not environmental friendly. My garbage was full with all disposable nappies when I was using them for my baby. Disposable diapers are not biodegradable. They go on accumulating. To prevent global warming it is a wise choice to use cloth diapers. I think cloth diapers are more comfortable for the baby. I agree that cloth diapers need all washing, cleaning, drying and boiling but overall they are cheaper. If you are clean to use disposable diapers then Huggies are best.

Subject:  diaper rash is a problem
My son had a great diaper rash around his genitals when he was a baby. I used some ointments suggested by my family doctor but those did not work. Then I changed the diaper brand that I was using. I changed the wipes too. I started using extra sensitive diaper wipes. I started checking after every hour if there the diaper is wet. I made it a routine to change the diaper immediately after each bowl movement. It is very important that one should allow the diaper area air dry and then put on the fresh diaper. Avoid using baby powder. Too much baby powder can be harmful if a child inhales it. Instead apply diaper creams if you want. Tie a nappy and dress up your cutie pie.

Subject:  talk to your baby
When I change the diaper of my baby I try to talk to him. It is said that you can have good conversation with your baby while changing diaper, while feeding and while bathing him. When I tie a nappy to my baby I try to make all sorts of funny faces. I try to engage his eyes so that he will not realise that I am actually changing his nappy. Sometimes my son makes lot of noise while changing the diaper. He actually can not be calm. Take out some toys out of the toy box and distract your little one for a wile. What I do is, I try to tie the nappy as soon as possible. You should not take much time to accomplish the task of tying a nappy. Tie a nappy and then put your little one at safe place. Then dispose the used diaper and clean the area to get rid of unwanted germs.

RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]

hello karthik according to me you should not worry so much and enjoy the joy of being a parent and let time passes as the child we start walking and then you will be happy so just relax and wait for the right time.... - Archana [View Message]
