Weight loss program should ideally be started only after 4 weeks of normal delivery. Mild and simple exercises can be started soon after delivery. these include walking, kegels exercises and so on. But for weight loss program, the body needs some time to recover.

Weight loss post pregnancy should be gradual. The time taken to get back to earlier shape varies in women and it depends on how much weight did they gain during pregnancy. A healthy weight gain during pregnancy is shed off soon after delivery.

Getting back pre-pregnancy shape after normal delivery is possible. Just a little determination and intelligent food choices are needed. Exercises with smart food choices helps to have a healthy weight loss. Breastfeeding also burns a lot of calories so this is the way to go.
