Routine Tests:Regarding Dental X-rays and Root canal

Hi All,

I am in my 6th month . I have a cavity in my 2nd molar tooth. Dentist at Jahangir Pune said the treatment would require X-ray(IOPA) with a protective covering lead apron.Based on the X-ray it will be either filling or root canal. My Gync said NO to x-ray and root canal and had given me a course of antibiotics which she said will reduce the infection. I am bit confused and planning to take second opinion .Has anyone faced undergone any dental treatment? Do share your experiences.

i had a similar prb. n my gynae was also of the opinion that no x-ray or anaesthetic. but luckily did not need either of it and got a cap fitted.
